I have submitted an abstract. What is the current status? Who do I contact for questions?

Abstract notifications for the regular abstract submission deadline on 1 February are expected to be sent in mid-April 2021 by congress.abs@eular.org to the submitter.
My abstract has been accepted. What happens now? Where will the abstracts be published?
—
Selected abstracts/posters will be published at the EULAR 2021 virtual Congress event. Online publication is approx. 2 weeks prior to the Congress.

Do I need to be registered to the virtual Congress to present my abstract?

Yes, you are required to register to the virtual Congress to present your abstract. Therefore, you will have access to questions submitted by the audience.
Where can I review the abstract presentation guidelines for the Scientific Programme?

Is is possible to edit the abstract submission prior to the deadline?
—
Yes, all abstracts can be amended until the deadline. However, you need to ensure to re-submit it.
Are there submission fees?
—
The regular abstract submission is free of charge.
The presenting author would need to register to the EULAR 2021 virtual Congress and pay the applicable registration fees if the abstract is accepted for presentation.
Notifications will be sent out Mid April at the latest.
Is there a maximum number of authors allowed?
—
No, there is no limit of authors or abstracts.
Can a non-author be a presenter?
—
No, only an author of an abstract can be a presenter.
Will there be an abstract submission reminder?
—
Yes, we will send a reminder to submit your abstracts in DRAFT.
What sections are included in the abstract template?
—
These sections are automatically appear in the abstract as you will see on the preview page.
Can we include images in the abstract?
—
Images and figures need to be included in the template you upload.
Abstract content reproduction, re-use and/or transcription policies

The authors retain copyright to their work from the abstract submitted.
Please see here for full details of the exclusive licence to publish. Authors may re-use material presented in the abstract in further publications, provided that the source of original publication is included [DOI].

55 lines is the recommendation, this will keep the abstract concise and it will not contribute to the character count.
Submission criteria and abstract presentation

It is not possible to select “oral only”, the Scientific Committee will judge the abstracts according to the scientific or clinical value, relevance to EULAR, suitability of methods to aims, conclusions confirmed by objective results, objectivity of statements, description of methods used, ethics, originality of work, standard of English, and overall impression.
Are multi-panel figures allowed?

No, multiple-panel figures are not accepted. Only one graph or one image is allowed. Tables turned into image are not allowed either.

When and where will the EULAR 2021 Congress take place?

The EULAR 2021 Congress will be virtual. It will take place from Wednesday, 2 June to Saturday, 5 June 2021.
The Virtual Congress will be accessible from Wednesday, 2 June 2021 (12:00*). The content is accessible on demand until 5 July 2021 (23:59*).
Registration is open until 4 July 2021 (23:59*).

Related meeting participants require no registration to the virtual Congress, as meetings are held outside the virtual Congress system.

Following the creation of a virtual Congress account, please remember to confirm your e-mail to activate your account.
How to activate your EULAR 2021 virtual Congress account.
1. Immediately after you have created an account at https://congress.eular.org/ you will see the following message on your screen:
The activation link will be sent to your email address.
2. Please go to your email address and click Confirm E-Mail button.
If you have not found the message from EULAR 2021 virtual Congress, please also check your Spam folder.
Kindly note that this link will be valid for 48 hours only. After this period, your account will be locked and you will have to unlock it by getting the activation email again.

What will be the format of EULAR 2021 Congress?

EULAR, with the aim to protect everyone's health and safety, has come to a decision that the EULAR 2021 Congress will focus on a virtual design.
We have therefore decided to only offer virtual access tickets.
The virtual Congress will be accessible from Wednesday, 2 June 2021 (12:00*). The content is accessible on demand until 5 July 2021 (23:59*).
Registration is open until 4 July 2021 (23:59*).

When does the Congress start and how long it will be running for?

The LIVE virtual Congress starts on Wednesday, 2 June 2021 and ends on Saturday, 5 June 2021.
I will not be available during 2-5 June. Will I still be able to access the virtual Congress content?
—
Yes, the content will be available from 2-5 June as per programme schedule for all registered participants and then accessible on demand (whenever required) until 5 July 2021 (23:59 CEST)
What are the access limitations of the virtual Congress?
—
Access to all satellite/industry content is limited to the appropriate registration categories.

What do I need to attend the virtual Congress?

To attend the virtual Congress you require good internet connection, your computer/laptop, and a headset/headphones as well as a valid registration.
For optimal user experience, we highly recommend to use GOOGLE CHROME or MOZILLA FIREFOX browsers or the lastest version of your browser to connect on the virtual Congress platform.
The virtual Congress Platform is not accessible on Safari.
Will the sessions be interactive? Will there be a possibility for a Q&A?

Yes, there will be a possibility for an online Q&A.
Will there be an exhibition?
—
There will be company profiles with different options to interact, stricly limited to the appropriate registration categories.

How can I receive EULAR information usually available at the EULAR Village?

A virtual EULAR Village section will be accessible through the virtual Congress platform.
Will all sessions and meetings be organised online? What if I am not able to join at the schedule time of certain sessions?

All sessions and lectures will be available through the Virtual Congress platform starting from the scheduled date and until 5 July 2021 (23:59 CEST).
I cannot see the 'Go to live session' button in the live session. How can I solve this?
—
Please clear your browser's cache memory. For best performance of the virtual Congress platform, use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers.
To reload the currently open page and override the locally cached version (clear cache) on Chrome/Firefox please press “Ctrl + F5” or “Ctrl + Shift + R” shortkeys on your keyboard.

Will it be possible to get CME points at the virtual Congress? How many credits is the virtual Congress awarded with?

EULAR applied for CME Accreditation for the EULAR 2021 virtual Congress and will update this section accordingly.
How do I benefit from the ARD subscription?
—
Your personal login details for the online edition of ARD journal will be sent to you in August 2021. Your online access to the journal will be valid until June 2022.

The EULAR 2021 Congress will take place virtually from 2 to 5 June 2021.
